“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor” and that is certainly true for diving. In our beautiful southern ocean conditions you will be tested in all sorts of conditions during your training. You will develop into a highly skilled diver making you employable all over the world.
Dive Otago is New Zealand's only PADI 5 STAR Career Development Centre (CDC). Our experienced staff have been training dive instructors and starting careers for over 20 years. Our purpose built diver training facility is a one stop shop with classrooms, an onsite heated pool (25°C+), retail shop and dive boat.
We have a graduate network that operates in dives centres all over the world. We have an online forum and are frequently and pro-actively linking graduates to employment opportunities. We have other New Zealand dive centres looking to employ our graduates even before they complete their programme. In the past two years alone students have gained employment in New Zealand, Cayman Islands, Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Reef, Tonga, Malta.
