Facilities

Dive Otago facilities are second to none in New Zealand and rival the best of overseas Dive shops. A fully stocked retail shop, Full hire and servicing of equipment. The pool is heated to 26 degrees and is 3.4m deep (1.8m deep on the shelf). Pool dimensions are 10m by 8m.

The building has three classrooms and a large mezzanine floor area for lunch breaks etc. you can sit and watch the action in the pool from the mezzanine or through the port hole windows built in to the pool.

Our hire department is well stocked and all dive gear is undergoes regularly servicing by qualified technicians. Most regulators have computers (Suunto Favors or Gekkos) while the rest have digitimers. We also have children's sized BCDs. Tanks are 85 or 90cuft alloy tanks. We have several that can be adapted for DIN fittings. We hire all dive gear from tanks, weightbelts, wetsuits, masks, fins snorkels, BCDs and regulators.

Welcome to "Seahorse" our brand spanking new boat is an awesome addition to our facilities – purpose built for diving it is a 5.9m Kiwikraft with hard top and pontoons, powered by a Mercury Optimax. Tanks are sotred in the floor (courtesy of Dave Watson designs!) and there is even an mp3 player for sounds while complete the surface interval. (Really it's for Dave when he goes fishing).
